Our client is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join their growing team! This client is a professional services company backed by a prominent Chicago-based private equity firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their career in a fast-paced, private equity-backed professional services environment. If you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are a team-player with a positive attitude and are eager to learn, this role is for you!
If hired, you will complete a structured onboarding program, be assigned mentor for guidance and support, receive regular performance feedback and career planning and access to learning and development resources. You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere and have direct exposure to senior leadership and PE stakeholders. Enjoy a business casual dress code in a Modern office in downtown Chicago.
Corporate Staff Accountant Responsibilities :
- Assist in month-end close process
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Help maintain fixed asset schedules
- Participate in budget and forecast preparation
- Assist with audit preparations and schedules
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
