The Last Agency (TLA) is looking for an enthusiastic, high-performing Public Relations Account Manager to join and contribute to our growing team. We are looking for a teammate that has a love of collaboration, media relations, strategy, and writing, who is also excited to work with a small but growing organization.
TLA is a New York-based communications agency with a global presence and portfolio of clients spanning the luxury design, art, hospitality and lifestyle industries. The Account Manager role will support TLA’s development and execution of media and brand strategies relating to the agency’s clients and portfolio of brands.
In addition to progressing client strategies and campaigns, the Account Manager will support and mentor junior members of our team and help grow awareness and perception of the agency.
The ideal candidate will likely have 3-5 years PR agency experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the overall public relations, media and brand strategy efforts for a number of clients
- Bring a positive attitude to a high energy team that “shows up” to work every day
- Ask questions, bring new ideas, interact with your colleagues, clients and partners and make your voice be heard
- Manage and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and supporting their career growth
- Show your ability to rally the team for intra-office and client-focused activities
- Stay in front of clients to keep them informed on your work and outside events that may impact their business (be their ear to the ground)
- Perform as team lead and key point of contact for client on select accounts
- Liaise with clients, leading meetings / calls and assist with agendas, as needed
- Develop and present narrative frameworks, strategy documents, proposals and new business documents
- Pitch and secure media coverage across print, online, podcast and broadcast media
- Contribute creative ideas that you can convert into results (media, brand-building, content, social, etc.)
- Further build and maintain relationships with clients, media, key partners and industry professionals
- Develop press releases, briefings, pitches, external communications and brand partnership opportunities
- Always be looking for ways to expand and grow client accounts, whether that’s by changing focus to stay aligned with their evolved business goals, or by introducing new opportunities that can benefit clients (evergreen opportunities, etc.)
- Manage and assist in the development of monthly, project-based and yearly reporting
- In collaboration with junior team, manage media databases (Muck Rack), daily media coverage grids and actively research and update targeted media and contact lists
- Develop event strategies, overseeing the coordination of guest list, logistics and execution of client events throughout the year
- Assist and support in our internal needs, including organizational and brand awareness building
