Job Description\

- \
- Act as the educator for The Laurels of Defiance, conducting orientation and providing other in-service educational programs for the nursing staff. \
- Design systems and approve actions to prevent or control infections, based on surveillance reports of infections and infection potential among residents and staff. \
- Participate in the staff evaluation process by providing attendance records and observation of employee performance. \
- Provide general facility orientation to all new employees and ongoing in-service education. \
- Ensure Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)/State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement. \
- Actively participate in quality assurance and report concerns to supervisor. \

Required Skills and Qualifications\
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting is preferred. Registered Nurses (RNs) who are passionate about teaching others and have strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.
