General Job Description: Responsible for e-filing court documents and pleadings; mailing pleadings, correspondence, and other documents. Serves as general document support for the litigation department. Requires attention to detail and accurate documentation of filings and mail. Keeps administration staff, paralegals, and attorneys informed of the progress and status of filings.
Role in Mission: The primary person responsible for ensuring electronic, fax, and mail filings are filed in the correct format and timely.
Key Specific Duties:
- File pleadings with courts through various e-filing portals, by mail, email or by fax;
- Communicate with courts in various states to confirm how to file documents and to ensure filings have been received;
- Maintain answer filing spreadsheet to include filing dates and court filing methods;
- Notate client files with information regarding filings and mail;
- Manage multiple email inboxes;
- Apply postage, address, and send mail
- Perform other administrative duties as outlined by department supervisor

Minimum Technical Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Mastery of the English language, both written and spoken
- Legal office experience a plus
- E-filing experience a plus (highly preferred)
