A small, sole-practitioner law firm in Endicott, NY, is seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedParalegal to support our real estate and related practices. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an attorney in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review real estate transaction documents, including contracts, deeds, closing disclosures, and title work.
- Prepare detailed closing statements for real estate transactions.
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and other parties to facilitate real estate closings.
- Maintain case files in an organized manner.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding case progress, required documents, and deadlines.
- Manage scheduling and administrative tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with tasks in addition to real estate, especially in full time employment is desired, including estates, litigation and business transactions.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paralegal in real estate transactions is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management software.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a small legal team.
Schedule & Compensation:
- The schedule is flexible. It is expected that 20 hours of more per week will be guaranteed. OR The firm is willing to guarantee a minimum number of hours, between 20 and 40.
- Compensation is based on experience; paid time-off, retirement.
