What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Litigation Paralegal position at The Law Office of David Ellin, P.C.?
LITIGATION AUTO/PI PARALEGAL
The Law Office of David Ellin, P.C., located in Reisterstown, Maryland is a personal injury law practice representing clients throughout Maryland.
At this time, we seek to hire a full-time experienced litigation Auto/PI paralegal. The candidate must have experience in handling personal injury/ automobile accident cases at the circuit and district court levels (pre-litigation and litigation phase).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Communicating effectively and professionally with clients and parties involved in a lawsuit over telephone and in person;
- Assisting lawyers in preparing trials;
- Gathering discovery; review and draft discovery requests/responses;
- Requesting any reports, records or documents needed for cases;
- Drafting various documents such as affidavits, pleadings, letters to insurance companies;
- Requesting medical records and bills;
- Reporting to the office manager as needed, as well as attend weekly or quarterly staff meetings;
- Paralegal will be under frequent supervision from lawyers and office manager.
Requirements: Punctuality, professionalism, commitment, and excellent communication and writing skills are of paramount importance;
- A minimum of five- year of experience recommended;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented;
- A minimum high-school degree or equivalent paralegal experience required;
- Other minimum qualifications include: knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic technological and research skills necessary to pull requested documents from online resources required;
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, and present a positive, professional image with colleagues, professional staff, and vendors;
