Overview
We are seeking an additional detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal with estate planning drafting working knowledge to join our legal team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, particularly in Estate Planning, and working knowledge in probate and guardianship is also of assistance with this role.
This role involves supporting our attorneys in preparing for estate planning consults, asissting with drafting estate planning documents, attending signings, and attending to clients calls and correspondence throughout the estate planning process.
The opportunity to provide assistance with general client correspondence , and some probate and guardianship work is also an aspect of this position. The ability to be a team player and multi-task is a must.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for client meetings by organizing case files and documents primarily related to estate planning and probate And guardianship matters.
- Draft, review, and work with attorneys on various legal documents including estate planning documents and other relevant client materials.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide relevant information to attorneys.
- Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records of case progress.
- Utilize Document Management Systems to organize and store legal documents efficiently.
- Manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met for client meetings and other critical tasks.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with legal standards.
Skills
- Proficient in writing clear and concise legal documents.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience with Document Management Systems for efficient file organization.
- Knowledge of estatr planning and probate and guardianship law and ability to draft documents effectively.

- Ability to transcribe legal proceedings accurately.
- Experience using Clio or similar legal software for case management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
