Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to get along well with others. We are looking for an associate who is motivated, enthusiastic, willing to learn, coachable, comfortable with public speaking, and looking to grow with our firm. Experience as an attorney and/or paralegal is preferred but not required. We will provide training, but you must bring the hustle.
Job description:
The associate attorney will be responsible for advising and counseling clients on estate and trust matters, drafting documents to effectuate a plan, and other tasks as assigned.
Additionally, the associate attorney will also be responsible for assisting with trust administration and handling probates including, drafting petitions, pleadings, notices, attending hearings, and advising and assisting personal representatives and estate administrators in the process of administering estates from opening the probate to closing the probate.
Additional work responsibilities may fall outside of regular work hours including presentations, firm scheduled events, business networking events, and client meetings and signings.
Qualifications:
- WA licensed attorney (Bar required)
- Highly motivated fast learning who is able to work without constant supervision
- Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with other firm members and various types of clients
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and balance cases including communicating, coordinating, and instructing paralegal and support staff on job related tasks including drafting assignments, filings, file maintenance, and scheduling.
- Confidence to work independently and seek support when needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Clio (preferred)
