Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases involving personal injury, family, probate, estate planning, civil, mass torts, and criminal law.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw to gather case law and statutes pertinent to ongoing cases.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and client communications.
- Provide clients with clear guidance on their legal rights and options.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the FL bar.
- Experience in a law office setting is preferred; familiarity with personal injury, family, probate, estate planning, civil, mass torts, and criminal is a plus.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research databases such as Westlaw, Clio software and Microsoft programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
Salary to commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
