The Human Resource Manager is responsible for leading the human resources’ function and department for the company. The Human Resource Manager plans, coordinates, and directs the administrative functions of the organization. The Human Resources Manager oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consults with top executives on strategic planning; and serves as a link between an organization’s management and the employees. 


This is an onsite position and must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00 pm. Normal hearing and vision are essential for conversations, receiving information, and preparing documents. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate. 


Duties:

The Human Resource Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organize the human resources function in alignment with the company’s operations and needs including driving culture.
  • Advise executive and senior leaders on issues and matters pertinent to the sustainment and development of the company’s workforce.
  • Manage the HR operations and process to support the company’s operational goals and objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate the selection and hiring process to attract, vet, select, and hire best qualified candidates to include job posting, phone screens, and hosting candidates on-site for interviews and other activities.
  • Provide compliance oversight to ensure that the company is adhering to federal and state laws and regulations regarding employment.
  • Manage the company’s employee relations by providing support with employee issues, establishing employment policies, and building employee engagement through morale programs.
  • Lead and coordinate the company’s cultural enhancement activities and events.
  • Manage and administer the company’s benefits program to include plan development, enrollment, billing reconciliation, and employee support.
  • Provide oversight to company’s safety program to ensure employees are protected from harm or injury and that the company adheres to safety-related laws and the regulation to include OSHA record-keeping and state workers compensation claim management.
  • Design and facilitate the company’s learning and development programs to include onboarding and policy training.
  • Administer the company’s compensation program regarding merit increases and bonus program.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or business-related field.
  • Certified Professional in human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial HR leadership role
  • 5 years’ experience in the landscaping, home service, or related construction industry.
