Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Family Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to families in need, ensuring their well-being and fostering positive family dynamics. Full Time job with some-what flexible hours and an excellent benefit package.
Duties: The FTF Family Support Specialist will develop and implement recruitment plans and strategies for the communities of Colorado City and Beaver Dam. Will locate families eligible to enroll in the program based on information from family surveys and agency referrals. They will assist eligible families in developing a written service plan that includes goals the family would like to achieve and resources the family is in need of. The Family Support Specialist must be able to build professional, supportive partnerships with families. Will help families connect with resources available in their community. Will develop progress reports based on weekly follow up and monthly in-person visits with the family and will transition families from the program when they feel they have reached their goals, or no longer need help.
Qualifications: This position requires a fully bilingual Spanish/English person with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred, as well as experience working with children and families. Requires good record keeping and good computer skills including some data entry. Must have good communication skills, both oral and written. Requires a person with full mobility, the ability to see, hear and speak, and lift up to 20 lbs. Accommodations can be made as necessary. Applicants will be required to pass a background check and e-verification. Must have a current driver license and reliable transportation to travel to both sites with employer paid mileage.
