The Learning Lamp is looking to hire a Full-Time Mental Health Professional to deliver evidence-based, small-group psycho-educational programs for children and adolescents with trauma, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. The master’s level counselor is responsible for facilitating small group discussions of between 6 and 10 sessions and meeting with students individually, when indicated. Work will require coordination with and travel to partner schools and community-based organizations in Cambria and Somerset counties.

What are the duties and responsibilities?
Outreach
- Become certified in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), Bounce Back, and/or Blues program delivery
- Promote and schedule programming with partners in Cambria and Somerset counties
- Work in partnership with school district SAP teams for referrals and screenings
- Collect, analyze, and input data in required databases
- Complete 12 hours of PA Department of Drug & Alcohol-approved continuing education annually
What are the required qualifications?
- Master’s Degree with supervised clinical experience in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Physical done within one year prior to start date
- TB test within three months prior to start date
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Other:
- Appropriate clearances and trainings: PA State Criminal History Record, Child Abuse Report, FBI Criminal History Report, NSOR clearance, and Mandated Reporter Training. Clearances must be kept current.
- Physical done within one year prior to start date
- TB test within three months prior to start date
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time up to eight hours per day
