We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Early Childhood Toddler Teacher to join our childcare center. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and an understanding of the unique needs of young children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and coworkers to support children's development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Adhere to state and health department regulations governing licensed childcare centers.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Classroom management techniques tailored for toddler settings.
- Previous work in early childhood environments or similar childcare roles such as nannying.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles that guide effective teaching strategies.
- Experience in toddler care, including activities that promote physical, social, and emotional growth.
- Background in childcare is highly desirable.
