Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to handle cases from initial consultation through trial. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator and litigator with the ability to manage a caseload effectively, provide exceptional client service, and advocate for clients’ best interests. You will work closely with clients, medical professionals, experts, and other attorneys to develop strategies that ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury cases, including but not limited to car accidents, slip-and-falls, medical malpractice, product liability, and wrongful death.
- Manage a caseload from intake to resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases.
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and other parties.
- Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process.
- Work with experts, medical professionals, and investigators to gather evidence, analyze medical records, and strengthen cases.
- Prepare and present compelling arguments in court and at settlement negotiations.
- Stay updated on changes in personal injury law and best practices in litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing personal injury law, with trial experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, civil litigation procedures, and trial practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters to clients.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Experience with legal case management software is a plus.
