LEMOINE is seeking an Emergency Response Logistical Staging Area Manager for our Disaster Recovery Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all activities within the logistical staging area during disaster response efforts. This role involves organizing resources, overseeing the deployment of materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of the staging area to support disaster-affected communities.
Please note: Disaster Response Positions are contingent on storm events and will be activated only when a storm hits the designated area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the setup, operation, and demobilization of the logistical staging area during disaster response efforts.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies to ensure efficient deployment to affected areas.
- Collaborate with the Disaster Recovery Operations team to ensure alignment of logistical support with overall response strategies.
- Oversee the allocation and tracking of resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies within the staging area.
- Ensure that all staging area operations adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain operational plans and procedures for the staging area, ensuring readiness for activation.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of necessary resources.
- Lead, train, and manage staging area staff, ensuring effective performance and teamwork.
- Monitor and report on the status of staging area operations, including inventory levels, resource availability, and logistical challenges.
- Remain on-call and ready to mobilize the logistical staging area team in the event of a storm or disaster.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, emergency management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in emergency response or disaster recovery.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage teams in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments, especially during emergency response situations.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to operate necessary staging area equipment.
