We are seeking a skilled Carpenter I to join our team in the commercial industry. This role involves assisting in various carpentry tasks, including framing, concrete forming, drywall finishing, installation of doors and windows, and finishing work.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the commercial industry and be looking to grow their career as a Carpenter. They should have strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely on job sites.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials
- Assembling and fastening materials using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives
- Installing structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
- Constructing forms and pouring concrete
- Finishing surfaces by sanding, staining, and painting
- Assisting in the preparation and cleanup of job sites
- Operating hand and power tools safely
**Working Conditions:**
- Exposure to adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- May be required to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.
