LEMOINE, a Great Place to Work®-Certified company, is looking for a Project Accountant I, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the financial accuracy and compliance of our projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to oversee job cost tracking, billing processes, and subcontractor compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend PSP & Internal Team meetings, track team scorecards and action items, and participate in Project Review meetings.
- Process job cost reclassifications, track accruals, and assist project managers with job cost projections and owner applications for payment.
- Assist in preparing, submitting, and tracking owner applications for payment, including final billing packages, lien waivers, and certified payroll.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
- Ensure all subcontract agreements, work orders, purchase orders, and contractor licenses are in place and current.
- Track lien waivers, certified payroll, and compliance documentation.
- Verify compliance requirements before processing subcontractor and vendor payments, ensuring all approvals and documentation are in place.
- Scan, prepare, and manage critical project documentation, including owner pay apps, RFIs, change orders, and compliance documents.
- Assist in tracking final project close-out activities, including final lien waivers, warranty documents, and O&M manuals.
- Ensure all financial obligations are accounted for and subcontracts are closed in the accounting system.
- Monitor and track risk mitigation plans, joint payment agreements, and subcontractor performance and payment bonds as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited University or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate cost tracking.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in job cost reporting and compliance documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), and experience with financial reporting tools.
