Summary: As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role is responsible for highest net worth/principal gift fundraising across the enterprise by establishing and managing long-term relationships with individuals and family foundations, and family offices capable of 6, 7, and 8-figure donations. Relentlessly pursing cancer cures.

While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s People Organization Generalist.

Accountabilities

Revenue Generation

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding annually established fundraising targets through the effective engagement of prospects and donors

Donor Development Strategies

  • Manage an active portfolio of 30 - 50 principal gift capacity prospects and donors who are rated with a giving capacity of $1M
  • Maintain sustained weekly activities with self-directed focus on impactful and personal touch points and meetings, integrating executive leadership, the Board, mission and regional partners when appropriate
  • Serve as knowledgeable mission ambassador to educate major donor prospects about organizational impact and inspire their investment

Pipeline Management

  • Collaborate with Territory Advancement & Business Development Directors, Region Executive Directors, Region Advancement & Business Development Directors, Region staff and national board leadership Board leadership/volunteers to identify, cultivate and engage prospects with strategic activities directed toward outright and blended philanthropic gifts and a meaningful LLS experience
  • Communicate with local partners on donor identification activities to ensure transparency, coordinated approaches and maximized donor experience
  • Develop and document strategic individual cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for donors utilizing Salesforce and other organizational tools

Perform other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in major gift fundraising, with demonstrated success in closing complex gifts

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Travel approximately 30% of time
  • Periodic weekend and evening work

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $141, 936 to $166.704. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at LLS we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
