POSTION SUMMARY:
A Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining client relationships and organically growing a book of business. This position requires an individual to successfully maintain and service existing accounts while also possessing the skills and talents necessary to successfully pursue and convert new and cross-sell opportunities. This individual will have the ability to maintain outstanding retention ratios and levels of client satisfaction. Individuals in this position are expected to use their network of relationships, industry qualifications, experience, expertise, judgement, and discretion to successfully perform the duties of this position.

POSTION SUMMARY:
A Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining client relationships and organically growing a book of business. This position requires an individual to successfully maintain and service existing accounts while also possessing the skills and talents necessary to successfully pursue and convert new and cross-sell opportunities. This individual will have the ability to maintain outstanding retention ratios and levels of client satisfaction. PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as primary contact for assigned book of business to develop, maintain and strengthen client relationships.
- Convert new business opportunities from either, referrals from the existing book of business or their own network of relationships into new clients for Liberty.
- Provide strategic planning and risk management consulting advice to clients and recommend appropriate solutions as needed throughout the duration of the relationship.
- Increase profitability of the team and Liberty as a whole by identifying cross-sell opportunities.
- Responsible for carrier marketing of new and renewal policies.
- Seek referral opportunities and develop centers of influence in order to drive and capture new business opportunities.
- Design and deliver full client presentations/proposals, client advocacy reports, client service plans and schedules for new and renewal business.
- Manage service requests in collaboration with Assistant Relationship Manager, including use of Service Center and Processing Center as needed.
- Act as Company liaison with carriers and clients regarding complaints, claims, and grievances related to assigned accounts and escalate as appropriate.
- Service Company and clients in a manner to avoid potential exposure to E&O claims.
- Alert team members and Company executives of incidents that may require intervention.
- Be responsive to all requests received via phone and e-mails.
- Maintain current, consistent, detailed documentation on all client activity, phone conversations, and correspondence in AMS360.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Participate with executives, senior management, and other team members (departments/personnel) on special projects and on the formulation and implementation of Company policies and procedures, as needed.
- Participate in seminars and classes to continue development of qualifications, expertise, and experience.
- Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, and other forms of continuing education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to pursue and close sales, including cross-selling and developing a book of business.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a client-facing role handling commercial lines accounts varying in account size.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance license
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance and products and able to apply knowledge of coverage forms in the analysis of program design, the identification of coverage gaps, and ongoing coverage consultation.
- Basic MS Office skills and familiarity with other relevant online tools.
