We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, detail-oriented, and organized chiropractic receptionist/office manager to join our high volume chiropractic office. In this role, you will work at the front desk of The Life Center and provide assistance to our patients and other visitors.
The Position and the Duties of the Receptionist/Office Manager
A. Policies, procedures and scripts related to overall clinic administration, staff training, development, and management, clinic success, and profitability.
B. Assure the duties being carried out by staff are checked off.
C. Assure through your own participation, or through delegation, that the day-to-day operation, patient care, patient billing, collection, physical plant and office technology are functioning at the level and quality deemed necessary for quality patient care and successful business practices, included, but not limited to, the following:
i. New patient policies and procedures.
ii. Existing patients’ policies and procedures.
iii. Insurance billing.
iv. OTC and insurance collections.
v. X-ray, computer, copier, developer, camera, and office software function.
vi. Cleanliness, safety, and function of the clinic and patient care equipment.
vii. Appropriate stock of products and supports.
D. Oversee office profits and goals
E. Operate as a secondary front desk dealing with the following:
i. Patient accounts.
ii. Scheduling.
iii. Re-exams.
iv. Re-x-rays.
v. Re-sign.
vi. Patient care needs outside of in-person and doctor events.
vii. NP data entry.
viii. Verifying insurance and create financial.
ix. Clearing work bench.
x. Posting insurance payments and fax EOB’s to BP.
xi. Reviewing EOB’s, make sure of changes in UCR for EOB book.
xii. Gathering, copying and mailing records requests.
xiii. Making sure all new patient conversion steps have happened, financial complete.
xiv. Running 1st and 15th payments and follow up (card declined, etc.)
xv. Ordering supplies.
xvi. Prepping bank deposit.
xvii. Scheduling office maintenance, i.e., air conditioning, x-ray processor
xviii. Following up on patients discontinuing care.
xx. Overseeing and sharing duties of office maintenance and cleaning.
xxi. Helping to coach patients through their care.
xxii. Helping to inspire patients to get on purpose with this office: done through the promoting of lectures and events.
Typical Working Hours:
Mon., Wed, Thursday 7:15am-12:30pm and 2:30pm-6:30pm
Tues. 2:30pm-6:30pm
Fri. 7:15am-12:30pm
Chiropractic receptionist/office manager requirements and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
- Experience with ChiroTouch or similar software (a plus)
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Detail oriented
- Self motivated
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
