Jr. Planner/Scheduler
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Jr. Planner is responsible to develop plans to facilitate on time delivery to the customer. The position requires the ability and experience to coordinate Sales forecasts, customer demands and the production plan in order to meet company requirements within the procedures established as an ISO 9001 company.
The Jr. Planner provides Manufacturing with a work schedule and ensures that all the resources needed to complete the schedule are available. The Jr. Planner works with the Planning Manager to monitor the progress of work through the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule sales orders on a daily basis to meet or exceed lead time demands
- Produce daily, an updated work schedule for manufacturing to meet sales order and stock level commitments
- Produce reports reflecting the current schedule and stock levels daily
- Define staging requirements and prioritize the staging of materials to support the manufacturing schedule
- Participate daily in status meetings to foster communication regarding priorities and challenges, and give daily direction to stay on target with plans
- Communicate with Inventory Control to identify material adjustments to maintain inventory accuracy
- Backup for the planning Coordinator and Planning Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional planning, organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities

- Strong problem solving and analytical ability
- Minimum 1 year planning in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Excel is a must). Ability to learn Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP software
- Proficient communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work on a computer for long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,500.00 - $40,000.00 per year
