Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Director to oversee the daily operations of our residential community, The Links at Starkville Apartments!
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of property management, and a commitment to fostering a positive living environment for residents. This role requires effective communication, conflict management, and the ability to navigate Fair Housing regulations while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations of the community, ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction and engagement.
- Oversee property leasing activities, including conducting tours, processing applications, and negotiating lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records through effective data entry and filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 requirements.
- Address resident concerns promptly and effectively through strong conflict management skills.
- Implement community programs and events to enhance resident involvement and foster a sense of community.
- Supervise administrative tasks including budgeting, reporting, and maintenance coordination.
- Utilize Yardi software for property management tasks including tracking leases and managing tenant communications.
- Exhibit professionalism in phone etiquette when interacting with residents, vendors, and prospective tenants.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 housing programs.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts amicably.
- Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Yardi is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
