JOB TITLE: Inventory Control Manager
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Director of Finance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating and implementing inventory management systems.
- Works closely with the materials and production teams to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Conducting physical counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies, including management of on-site customer inventory counts
- Developing and implementing inventory control procedures and best practices
- Training team members on inventory control processes
- Analyzing inventory data and generating reports
- Assist the team with gathering support for all audits, including pulling documentation
- Analyze current business practices to identify efficiencies and cost savings, including supporting the Materials Management Team through integration of inventory management software to ensure all subledger and general ledger transactions flow appropriately
- Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be highly detail oriented and organized. The ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus. Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in inventory management, supply chain management, operations or business administration.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and procedures manuals.
Ability to create procedure manuals documenting new and existing processes.
Ability to speak effectively to all internal and external customers.
Ability to communicate effectively through written communication, such as email.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines both internally and externally.
