The Lion Brewery is seeking highly motivated, goal driven candidates for Production Worker positions.
Responsibilities:
- Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
- Execute product changeovers
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
- Complete necessary job qualification within the designated timeframe
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Comply with all safety regulations- All employees are expected to use proper PPEs while at work which includes safety shoes (steel toes), safety glasses and hard hat
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
- Be part of the team and help with other tasks when necessary
- Effectively work with supervisors, mechanics and other workers to ensure timely and accurate work.
- Must be available to work any shift 2nd, 3rd, alternative work week schedule, and overtime.
- Employee must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills, able to work comfortably in a fast-paced changeover environment
- Responsible for their own attendance and reliability
- Expected to come to work when scheduled, on time, and ready to work
- Expected to make the necessary arrangements in their personal life to be at work as scheduled
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience (bottling and/or canning experience and mechanical knowledge a plus)
- Must be detail-oriented
- Understanding of production processes
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, to bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment
- Must have good attendance and the ability be on time daily
- Computer skills a plus
