Schedule: 40 hours/week: M-Fr 7:30am – 4:00pm, 52 weeks/year
Position Overview:
The HR Coordinator will provide comprehensive support to the Human Resources department, ensuring efficient and smooth HR operations. This role is responsible for assisting with employee onboarding, maintaining employee records, managing HR documentation, and supporting the execution of HR policies and programs. The HR Coordinator will also play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the company complies with legal and regulatory HR standards.
The HR Coordinator clearly understands and embraces that they are a part of Little Light House, a Christian Development Center with Biblical core values, whose mission is to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families, and communities.
Principal Duties:
- Manage the timekeeping function in HRIS system and assist with timekeeping summaries for payroll.
- Assist in tracking employee attendance, PTO, and other leave.
- Manage and maintain employee records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and stored securely in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Onboard new employees by completing paperwork, appointments, and background checks.
- Support HR with employee engagement activities and initiatives to promote a positive and productive work culture.
- Provide administrative support for various HR projects and initiatives.
- Process all credit card transactions for the Operations department.
- Set up and prepare for monthly committee meetings;
- Flexibility in performing occasional tasks outside the immediate job description, i.e., filling in for the front desk receptionist;
- Other duties as needed or required
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or two years of applicable experience;
- Must be self-driven and motivated to jump into a hard-working and goal-oriented team
- Experience in successful working relationships with staff and vendors
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enjoyment of people and comfortable when speaking before groups
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25lbs across a room.
