What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellbeing Assistant Manager position at The Lodge at Blue Sky?
Join our team as the Wellbeing Assistant Manager and become one of the authors of our story. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all Spa team members to ensure quality health and services to members and guests. You will also be responsible for scheduling all spa-related appointments, checking guests in and out, and assisting in all retail sales.
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and team members
- Handle guest complaints or problems immediately, ensuring guest satisfaction. Communicate all of the above to management to ensure communication to all necessary departments.
- Ensure the spa and fitness facilities are prepared for proper opening and closing each day
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order
- Must be the initial and complete source of information regarding what is available at the Spa and all procedures to ensure guest comfort (i.e., treatments, equipment, products, and retail items)
- Arrange all spa appointments for a la carte services/activities and packages, set up for wellness/fitness events and experiences
- Support Director of Wellbeing with all administrative functions of the Spa including but not limited to; using Spa software, maintaining inventory of supplies and retail, payroll reports, team trainings, answering telephones, making appointments, and daily operations
- Provide Spa tours as necessary
- Oversee efficiency of Spa operations at the Spa front desk via proper scheduling of appointments and staff
- Review/revise scheduling daily according to business demands
- Assist with billing for all Spa services and retail sales including preparing receipts
- Be thoroughly familiar with and provide instruction on Spa software
- Assist with inventories (receiving,inputting,counts) and cost control
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating spa employees
- Train Spa employees as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be available weekends, holidays, etc.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Must be able to multitask and prioritise departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Maximise efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying , and solving problems as necessary
- Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanour
- Hygiene is key in this environment due to the proximity of working with the guests
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull , or otherwise move objects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience at a luxury hospitality property
- 1-year experience in a spa or related field preferred and appreciated
- 1-year retail experience appreciated
