What are the responsibilities and job description for the Passenger Movements General Clerk III position at The Logistics Company?
SUMMARY:
The Passenger Movement General Clerk III is responsible to perform all phases of passenger and port call movements within CONUS and OCONUS for all personnel authorized for passenger travel under the authority of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), DTR 4500.9-R Part I, and AR 55-46, Travel To/From/Between Overseas Areas. Services include, but are not limited to, advising, counseling, arranging, preparing and distributing documentation for authorized personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrange commercial charter bus transportation utilizing the Group Operational Passenger System (GOPAX) or with SDDC approved carriers.
- Provide on-site assistance and inspection of Commercial equipment for each commercial transport
- Notified SDDC when local arrangements for bus transportation are made.
- Provide assistance to customers using Automated Information Systems to schedule/coordinate airline travel and baggage movement in conjunction with the current travel services contract
- Make arrangements for individuals requiring emergency travel. Provide reconciliation of Centrally Billed Accounts (CBAs).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Specialized knowledge of various travel entitlements, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and/or identify problems and be able to analyze and resolve
- Organization skills to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
- Intuitive, interpretive, and analytical comprehension to rapidly identify and resolve problems. Follow all Safety Regulation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, work on a computer for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate a cell phone, handheld radio, telephone, and keyboard.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. Job is performed indoors. Job is performed with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Job will require working flexible hours, sometimes under short notice, to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.
