SUMMARY:
The Bus Driver provides value to our customer and ensures the integrity of all customer orders in the most efficient manner. This is accomplished by ensuring that the department is properly prepared to support and meet the business priorities established by our customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide and operate a Post Shuttle Bus Service on a recurring basis that covers selected stop locations.
- Support troop movements of DLI students attending classes throughout POM. During operating hours, bus arrival times at each stop location shall average 7 minutes or less. Passenger wait times shall not exceed 10 minutes. Buses will stagger stop arrival times to avoid unnecessary congestion.
- Provide Presidio passenger bus support.
- Comply with local traffic regulations.
- Reports delays or accidents.
- Perform PMPS - inspect bus and check fuel, oil, and water before departure Must complete the daily dispatch check list (before, during and after) driving the vehicle

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Must have Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement.
- Specialized knowledge of various travel entitlements, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and/or identify problems and be able to analyze and resolve
- Organization skills to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
- Intuitive, interpretive, and analytical comprehension to rapidly identify and resolve problems. Follow all Safety Regulation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, work on a computer for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate a cell phone, handheld radio, telephone, and keyboard.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. Work environment involves maneuvering in narrow outdoor spaces, movement of people and vehicles in area, uneven surfaces, exposure to hot and cold weather, wind and dusty conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high. Job will require working flexible hours, sometimes under short notice, to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and holidays.
