What are the responsibilities and job description for the TMP Drivers Training / Technical Inspector position at The Logistics Company?
SUMMARY:
The TMP Technical Instructor shall conduct driver’s training on vehicles with capacity over 12 passengers or with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or more in accordance with AR 600-55.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct United States Army, Europe (USAREUR) driver’s qualification testing and licensing for permanent change of station personnel/deploying units when requested.
- Coordinate with the Unit Transportation Coordinator/Customer requesting vehicle training
- Perform all phases of training to include Initial Operator Training, Equipment Training, and Training Validation
- Issue or update DA Form 348 and conduct the following physical evaluation measures: Visual acuity, Field of vision, Foot reaction time, Depth perception, and Color perception. Issue OF 346 licenses to those who have completed the training

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Must have Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement.
- Specialized knowledge of various travel entitlements, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and/or identify problems and be able to analyze and resolve
- Organization skills to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
- Intuitive, interpretive, and analytical comprehension to rapidly identify and resolve problems. Follow all Safety Regulation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, work on a computer for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate a cell phone, handheld radio, telephone, and keyboard.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. Job is performed indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Job will require working flexible hours, sometimes under short notice, to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and holidays.
