What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle/High School English Teacher w/Spec Ed position at The Long Island Whole Child Academy?

We are The Whole Child Academy- a non-traditional, private day school for twice exceptional learners, and as our name implies, we teach the whole child. All of our classes are taught in a 1:1 setting which maximizes student engagement and outcomes. We are project based and have exceptional support systems that encourage cross-curricular learning.
Duties and Responsibilities of MS/HS English Teacher:
-highly qualified to teach middle school and high school levels of English
-able to prepare students for regents exams
-reliable and dependable
-committed to teaching students at their levels in their learning style
-highly motivating and hands on
-experience working with students w/ ADHD, executive functioning and sensory processing issues, social/ emotional challenges (anxiety, depression, school reluctance) and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Experience and Requirements of MS/ HS English Teacher:
-must be certified to teach English
-Master's degree
-2 years experience

Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
