Job Summary
The In Room Dining Server will provide exceptional service and cuisine experience to our hotel guests. They must ensure a pleasant guest experience with an attentive, efficient, calm and friendly demeanor.
This is a part-time position
Weekend and AM shift availability
Responsibilities:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of all beverage lists
- Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
- Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
- Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Follow daily assigned employee shift side work
- Paces all In Room Dining order distribution and deliveries to our standards
- Monitor order/food pick-up/tray assembly/delivery time
- Assist inspecting hotel hallways/landings for In Room Dining equipment
- Maintain departmental requisitioned supplies properly stored and organized
- Follows hotels cleanliness guides
- Follows hotel uniform and grooming standards
- Complete floor walk for tray removal
- Answer guest calls, take orders, ring into POS system
Close checks in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Perform other duties as requested by leadership
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Qualifications:
- MICROS/POS experience preferred
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Experience in luxury hotels or a related field preferred
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English for both written and verbal communications
- Proficiency with computer systems
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school or equivalent education required.
Policy and Service Responsibility
- Must adhere to all hotel loss prevention guidelines
Physical Requirements
- Able to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs
- Must be able to stand at least 80%
- Must be able to kneel, push, lifting and squat frequently
