Job description
Summary: This position will provide comprehensive accounts payable support to our accounting department. Responsible for managing accounts payable for multiple concurrent development projects within our company and must possess a strong knowledge of Accounting/GAAP principles. This role will involve close collaboration with the EVP and CFO, playing an integral part in the construction accounting functions.
Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
Cost Control
· Verify subcontractor insurance is in compliance with the Lykos Subcontractor Agreement
· Create purchase orders
· Enter approved invoices into QuickBooks
· Scan invoices and attach into QuickBooks
· Print checks for invoices when due
· Create partial and final releases for Notice to Owners
· Distribute accounts payable checks to subcontractors
Obtain Lien Waivers as checks are distributed
· Scan and attach Releases and NTO’s
· Enter credit card charges and reconcile credit card statements
· Reconcile vendor statements
General
· Answer phones as necessary
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Proficient with QuickBooks
· Strong analytical and follow through skills
· Must be detail oriented
· Above average typing skills and organization skills
· Proficient/Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and accounts
· Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
· Ability to work well with others
· Friendly and professional demeanor
Education and experience:
Education:
· High School Degree required. Accounting Degree preferred
Experience:
· 3 years accounting experience
· 3 years working with QuickBooks
· 5 years experience in construction accounting preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Range:
· $27.00 to $35.00 based on education and experience

Following probationary period:
· Seven paid major holidays per calendar year
· Five paid personal days on a calendar year basis (pro-rated)
