Purpose of Position :
This position provides administrative support for the Library Services Coordinator and the effective management of library funds and materials across the district. This includes but is not limited to supporting the ordering of library materials in alignment with the Wisconsin Common School Fund guidelines and supporting the Library Services team in achieving the goals of the MMSD Library Plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Providing clerical support to the Library Services Department
- Placing and tracking orders for all schools' library materials using district systems (e.g., Munis). This includes, but is not limited to :
Common School Fund purchases for the Library Services Coordinator and LMTS : books, makerspace materials, magazine subscriptions, online database subscriptions, ebook content credit, and library technology
Communicate with LMTS, principals, and school secretaries regularly regarding orders
Complete various regular updates in the library catalog system
Support the organization of materials and lists for PD and events
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities to perform essential job functions :
