What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at The Madrone School?
The Madrone School is a private, non-profit school that provides ABA and educational services in a full-day, year-round program for autistic students. We are looking for a teacher to join our unique model and manage educational assessments, programming, and instruction.
The students at our Woodinville campus range from 4.5 - 11 years old and receive individualized Applied Behavior Analysis therapy throughout the school day. Each student's care team consists of the Teacher, a Behavior Analyst, and a 1:1 Behavior Technician. Student instruction focuses on academics, communication, functional academics, self-management skills, social skills, leisure skills, and adaptive skills.

Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Teacher in Washington State or eligible to apply
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Responsible, hardworking, organized, and flexible
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a good problem-solver
- Openness to learning about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and collaborating closely with BCBAs to achieve students’ educational goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Special Education Endorsement
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- 1 years of experience teaching in a special education classroom setting
Description of Teacher Responsibilities
- Develop student-specific education plans
- Conduct assessments of students’ academic progress
- Utilize a variety of curricula (commercial and teacher created) to address individualized educational goals
- Monitor student progress; write progress reports
- Plan and lead academic enrichment groups (social studies, science, math, reading, writing)
- Plan and lead enrichment activities (movement, art, music, cooking, etc.)
- Provide ongoing training and support to Behavior Technicians, training for staff who deliver services as necessary
- Meet regularly with parents to review progress
- Collaborate daily with students’ BCBAs; establish a collaborative relationship with team members

Salary : $68,200 - $90,000
