Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property leasing, fair housing regulations, and real estate administration. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high occupancy rates, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and managing property budgets effectively.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Monitor vendors/contractors to ensure work is being performed per the contract, and with required insurance coverage.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws.
- Utilize Yardi software for data entry, lease management, and reporting.
- Conduct property inspections to assess condition and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Review and approve CAM Reconciliations
- Review Accounts Receivables and General Ledger reports on regular basis.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services at competitive prices.
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain tenant satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage budgets for property expenses, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to property management.
Qualifications
- At lease 4 years of property or building management experience
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry tasks.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as leases, safety rules, plans and specifications, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in using property management software such as Yardi or similar platforms.
- Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with tenants and stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license is required for property visits.
