The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, is seeking an Aquatics Program Support Specialist. This position will provide programming and administrative support to the Aquatics Operations unit of the Aquatics and Athletic Facilities Division and will be based out of the division office, currently located in Greenbelt, Maryland. Our ideal candidate will provide professional support in data tracking and logistical organization for our countywide Aquatics program, as well as work on specific initiatives.
The M-NCPPC offers a competitive salary range of $60,849 to $107,768 at the Administrative Specialist II level with an excellent benefits package including generous leave, extensive health coverage, deferred compensation plan, employer's retirement plan, and work-life programs. The hiring range for this position will be $60,849 to midpoint of the advertised salary range and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Examples of Important Duties
- Complete thorough audits of data tracking software to include employee certifications, program registrations, routine checklists, and periodic reporting
- Serve as liaison between the Division and other internal and external customers to include effective communication, meeting attendance and coordination, knowledge of facility availability and capacities, and relationship building
- Assist with the implementation and reporting of the Centennial Campaign grant
- Provide logistical support for periodic Division-wide events and staff training
- Maintain a calendar of Advanced Certification offerings including coordination of facility use and instructor assignments
- Ensure smooth program delivery to various sites by maintaining course supplies, making deliveries, and coordinating mailings
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an office setting; may work outdoors briefly on an incidental basis. Work is primarily sedentary and requires very light to light physical effort. May be subject to various job demands such as high volume of work and tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business or any related field.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in human resource management,finance or any other related field of business administration.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total 6 years.
