The Human Resources Business Partner Associate will be a full participant in the department’s employee and labor relations function. Under the supervision of the Lead Human Resources Business Partner, this position provides support to the Senior Business Partners with confidential investigations, policy compliance, frontline coaching, and HR administration. This position will also provide effective coverage of departmental responsibilities in the absence of the Senior HRBP’s.
This position is responsible for maintaining incident and discipline tracking using Laborsoft or other designated software platforms while conducting analysis of department data and trends. Effective recommendations for process improvements and frontline training are required.
This position will be responsible for the administration of the department’s FMLA and ADA processes including communication, record keeping, and compliance. Astute knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, and commission policy is required.
The Human Resources Business Partner Associate will participate with Department HR-related trainings and communicate pertinent ER/LR data to the Executive Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment related statutes, have strong organizational and technical skills, be an effective communicator, both written and oral, be detail oriented, and have the ability to analyze information and make informed recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and Maintain HR Systems:
- Manage and maintain Labor soft system incident and discipline tracking system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Regularly update employee records and generate reports as needed.
Analyze Information and Make Recommendations:
- Maintain timely and accurate data on investigations, coaching and discipline
- Gather and analyze HR data to support decision-making processes.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve HR processes and policies.
Coordinate and Maintain FMLA:
- Administer FMLA requests, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Track FMLA leave usage and communicate status updates to employees and management.
Coordinate and Process ADA Requests:
- Handle ADA accommodation requests for the department, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Coordinate interactive process with employees and managers to identify reasonable accommodation.
Assist with HR Investigations:
- Support the Senior HRBP in conducting investigations related to employee relations issues.
- Document findings and assist in resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Assist the Senior HRBP with disciplinary document creation.
HR Training:
- Facilitate performance management training sessions in collaboration with the Senior HRBP.
- Support the development and delivery of other HR training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business or any related field.
2. One (1) year of experience in human resource management, finance or any other related area of business administration.
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience in an HR administrative role.
Familiarity with HR systems, FMLA, ADA, and performance management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
