What are the responsibilities and job description for the College Park Aviation Museum - Museum Educator - Seasonal/Year-Round position at The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission?
This candidate will support the College Park Aviation museum in upholding NHRD’s four strategic pillars:

Must work a minimum of 18 hours per week including two weekend days a month and with a maximum of up to 29 hours a week.
- Lead tours of the museum, conduct public and family programs, staff special weekend and evening events as well as children’s birthday parties
- Creating lesson plans for children activities
- Engage and interact with guests in the gallery
- Act as Manager on Duty by handling point of sale transactions, opening and closing the museum and exhibits, assisting museum guests, and interacting with our volunteers and staff
- Be a team player who is able to manage and see multiple projects and tasks with short and medium term deadlines to completion with little supervision
- Assist in the developing tours, exhibits, and educational activities and programs under the direction of the Education Manager
- Assist career staff as needed and fulfill other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED. Candidates must be pursing a college degree in either Museum Studies, Public History, History, or in an appropriate field.
- At least one year experience.
- Familiarity with working with children.
A complete criminal background check will be completed before hire.
