The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is looking for Golf Course Starters for the Aquatics and Athletic Facilities Division in Prince Georges County.
Days/Time and Hours/Time duration: Every day of the week/a.m. or p.m. shift (5-8 hours/day) hours will vary according to time of year.
Job Description: The Golf Course Starter's position is located at the first tee area of the golf course. His/her primary responsibility is to ensure proper order of the golfers and to get the golfers onto the course without undue delay and hardship.
All positions start at a salary of $15.00. A higher salary is contingent on a person's education, certification, and work experience.Register all golfers into the Starting Times List after a green fee ticket has been presented. Enforce posted Starting Procedures and Course Rules and Regulations. Police the first tee area around the gazebo and first tee for trash and dirt. Preferred candidates will have some experience in working with the public. Knowledge of golf preferred, but not required. A complete background investigation will be completed prior to hiring.
May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
