What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tennis Instructors - Seasonal position at The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission?
- Cosca Tennis Bubble located in Cosca Regional Park, Clinton
- Watkins Tennis Bubble located in Watkins Regional Park, Upper Marlboro
- Fairland Tennis Bubble located in Laurel, Maryland
- Teach participants on tennis fundamentals in both group and individual tennis setting.
- Ensure a safe and risk free environment at all times while meeting the individual needs of the participants.
- Be comfortable teaching on both indoor and outdoor courts.
- Maintain proper record keeping for class attendance.
- Have good communication skills and be comfortable working with all age groups.
- Enforce all tennis facility policies, rules and regulations. .
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of courts, keeping free of loose tennis balls and trash.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- USPTA or USPTR certification required
- Experience with 10 and Under tennis instructional methods, equipment and play format
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
- First aid and CPR certified preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- The salary range will be $15.00/hr-$40.00/hr per hour dependent on experience, qualifications, and certification
