Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contractor- Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management, cost control, and the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers. The Estimator will work closely with managers and the owner to ensure that all estimates align with project goals and budgets.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with boss and managers to develop project budgets and timelines.
- Utilize estimating software such as Xactimate to streamline the estimating process.
- Review contracts and negotiate terms with owners, vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor ongoing projects for cost control and provide updates on budget status.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
Experience
- Experience in construction estimating or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficient in using estimating software such as Xactimate or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing plans and specifications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: From $1,200.00 per week
