Opper Melang Restaurants is a growing company specializing in restaurants bars, unmatched service, and uniquely designed atmospheres. Our thriving concept Matador Restaurant & Tequila Bar has 12 locations in 5 states- Washington, Oregon, Idaho, South Carolina and North Carolina.
We are currently hiring for the position of Graphic Design Assistant to support our Marketing Coordinator and Home Office team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of visual design principles and have experience in various design tools and techniques. As a Graphic Design Assistant, you will be responsible for creating compelling visual content that effectively communicates The Matador brand across multiple platforms. - Salary: $25 an hour DOE
- Part-time 15-30 Hours. Great opportunity for people in hospitality who are looking for more regular business hours.

Responsibilities will include:
Graphic Design
- Develop and design engaging graphics for digital and print media, including logos, print & digital marketing materials, ads, and social media content. Examples include in-store posters & check presenters, event & catering packages, merchandise, menus, promotional flyers, website specific graphics, etc.
- Execute design projects as requested by President and Founder
- Organize and format the quarterly company newsletter
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing campaigns that align with market trends and The Matador brand.
- Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva to produce high-quality designs.
- Execute art direction for projects, ensuring consistency in visual identity across all platforms.
- Perform photo manipulation to enhance images for various uses.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design quality.
- Provide project status updates to the Marketing Coordinator and appropriate leadership.
- Organize and update asset bank of marketing and design materials.
Other
- Work collaboratively with marketing coordinator to develop social media content to achieve targeted customer engagement when needed.
- Assist in website updates
- Assist Marketing Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and HR Manager with various projects as needed.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, enrolled in graphics program and/or comparable professional experience.
- 1 year experience in a graphic design role or equivalent school program.
- Experience with graphic design required and website management preferred.
