Our award-winning health center is found within our Life Plan Community (formerly known as Continuing Care Retirement Community), and provides assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing to residents. Our size means we can provide person-centered care with an impressive CNA-to-resident ratio. We’re a tight team with many long-time employees, and we focus on clinical excellence, teamwork, and resident and team member engagement.
This position provides the opportunity to develop your specialty in gerontological nursing leadership through the design and implementation of innovative programming and performance improvement initiatives. You’ll be supported by a range of colleagues both in the community and from Mather Headquarters. All of this is conveniently located in downtown Evanston, Illinois, near CTA and Metra stops.
Requirements include an Illinois State RN license and a minimum of 5 years management experience, preferably in a hospital or skilled nursing community.
Preferred: Masters or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), computer proficiency, knowledge of Medicare/MDS requirements, 1 year long-term care experience (not limited to):
- Leadership: Selecting, directing, developing and educating, and managing nursing staff according to standards of performance to ensure quality care to all residents
- Knowledge: Assuring that nursing team functions within guidelines set forth by federal and state regulatory agencies
- Clinical: Coordinating, monitoring, and managing the quality and outcomes of resident care.
