Job Overview: The ideal candidate will possess a passion for wine and a strong background in guest service. We are seeking upbeat individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with great people skills and a functional knowledge of fine wine from around the world. Ability to converse with a diverse crowd of people is a must. Prior fine dining experience is preffered. WSET III in Wine or CMS Certified Sommelier certifications are desirable, but a general knowledge of wine service is acceptable on its own.
As Junior Sommelier, you will be a part of the restaurant front of house team with a focus on selling and serving wine to guests at our Wine Wall in the main dining room and filling by the glass orders from the machines. Secondary duties will include broad support in other areas of dinner service, including taking orders, serving food and cocktails, wine bottle service, polishing glassware, and supporting the bar team.
Desired Qualifications:
· 2 Years experience in the service industry with a working knowledge of wine.
· Desire to learn and continue wine education in a high performing service environment.
· Certified Sommelier CMS-A or WSET III in Wine is prefered.
· Food Handler’s Safety Permit.
· Strong knowledge of Food & Cooking.
· US work authorization required
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to spend multiple hours on your feet
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
