Role Summary :
The Technical Writer, reporting to the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, will be a key member of the Programs department, advancing The Max Foundations mission to accelerate health equity. In this role, the Technical Writer will lead or contribute to the development of a wide array of technical documents, including publications, grant proposals, reports, and abstracts that support the organizations global health initiatives. This position requires close collaboration across departments to synthesize complex medical, scientific, and programmatic information into clear and compelling formats for diverse audiences, including scientific and medical professionals, global health stakeholders, and funders.
Responsibilities :
- Lead or contribute to the drafting, editing, and finalization of technical documents, including grant proposals, program reports, abstracts, presentations, case studies, and peer-reviewed manuscripts to effectively communicate program implementation, outcomes, and impact.
- Ensure all written materials are clear, compelling, and tailored to the needs of diverse audiences, including scientific and medical professionals, global health stakeholders, and funders.
- Work closely with the Programs and Communications / Development departments to integrate data and evidence into proposals, reports and publications.
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and case studies from The Max Foundations programs to support internal learning and external engagement.
- Review and refine technical documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with scientific standards and organizational values.
- Maintain high editorial standards, adhering to style guides and formatting requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a glossary of key terms and concepts used in The Max Foundations programs.
- Assist in crafting visually compelling, data-driven reports and dashboards for monitoring and evaluation.
- Support the preparation of materials for donor meetings, conferences, and external engagements, ensuring high-quality content that effectively communicates program goals and achievements.
