The McCloud Group (TMG) is a Construction Management (CM) firm founded in 2002, specializing in the construction and renovation of educational, municipal, cultural, residential and transportation construction projects for municipal / public sector agencies in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. TMG serves as the owner’s representative and advocate through all phases of a project and under a variety of delivery methods.
TMG is looking for a Finance Manager for its Corporate Office. This position is based in Jersey City, New Jersey. This is a Full-Time position reporting to the President / CEO. The Finance Manager will be responsible for all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
Responsibilities and Duties
Finance & Accounting
· Participate in maintaining ongoing relationship with outside accounting firm and
banks
· Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements for management to
make proper decisions
· Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and
report variances.
· Ensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency of the corporate finances as well project
accounting including project scheduling, project status reporting and budgetary
governance.
· Establish, implement, and maintain effective accounts receivable processes,
procedures and controls to ensure timely collection of receivables.
· Oversee preparation of payroll including taxes and reporting requirements related
to payroll.
· Coordinate and provide information needed for various audits.
· Provide tax information required for corporate tax returns and other tax filings
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required. Master’s degree
preferred.
· 8 plus years’ experience in leadership role in accounting in the construction space.
· Must be proficient with MS Office, Outlook, QuickBooks.
· Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
· Must be detail oriented and work with a goal of precision.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must be respectful and have
positive presentation style.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
