Texas State University’s Ingram School of Engineering invites applications for an Electrical Engineering Assistant Professor of Instruction position, which will be based at Collin College, Dallas, TX.
We seek an individual to enhance our faculty expertise while solidifying and complementing the core curriculum. Candidates with expertise in electrical engineering, specifically in circuits and systems, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems, are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring, teach general electrical and computer engineering courses, and engage in both university and professional service.
The review of applications for this position will begin on April 15, 2025, and is subject to the availability of funds.

Required Qualifications
- An earned master’s and/or doctorate in electrical and/or computer engineering or a closely related discipline.
- The ability to teach courses in electrical and computer engineering.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following tools/technologies: circuits and systems, digital electronics, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems.
- Experience in curriculum development and enhancement in electrical and computer engineering programs.
- Proven track record of successful student mentoring and support in an academic environment.
- Industrial or post-doctoral experience.
- An area of expertise that complements the existing strengths of the department faculty.
- Knowledge about ABET accreditation procedures and deliverables.
