The School of Interdisciplinary Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas is hiring a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction for the fall of 2025. This position involves teaching four courses per semester. These courses may include classes in American Studies or another interdisciplinary field, advanced writing, first-year experience seminar, and upper-division courses in the candidate's area of expertise. A PhD in American Studies or another interdisciplinary field and teaching experience is required. We are seeking a dynamic, engaging instructor who is committed to interdisciplinary approaches, creative pedagogy, and building our programs. Field of research specialization is open. Salary is negotiable and includes a full benefits package. Starting date is August 1, 2025. Application deadline is April 25, 2025.
