Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various meats according to specifications and customer requests.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Package meat products for display or sale while ensuring proper labeling.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders and meet production needs.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in meat cutting or culinary roles, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Customer service experience is a plus, as interaction with clients is essential.
