What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at The Medicine Shoppe?
The Medicine Shoppe is an independent pharmacy located in Slidell, La. We have served the Slidell community for 50 years with our friendly and family- oriented pharmacy staff providing excellent care and service. We are looking for a certified pharmacy technician to join our team. The position is for full time and rotating weekends.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team in filling and dispensing medications in accordance with the laws and practice of pharmacy according to the Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy
* Engaging with customers and patients to provide excellent care and service
* Answering phones, assisting in checking patients and customers at the sales register and through our drive-thru. Helping patients locate any special OTC products they may request
* Using our pharmacy system to fill prescriptions, ordering inventory, maintain medication inventory
* Assisting with receiving orders that include unpacking, labeling and putting on shelf
* And above all, provide excellent customer and patient care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.87 - $19.60 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
Work Location: In person
Salary : $18 - $20
